Water Detecting In The Summer

Spring is over, the weather is hot and humid, which means summer is here! I am the first to say that I enjoy hunting in parks, farm fields and the woods. Metal Detecting Meteorites

When most people think of metal detecting, their minds automatically conjure up an image of Spanish gold bars and stolen pirate treasure. Some metal detecting enthusiasts will even think about digging up natural minerals such as diamonds or gold nuggets. Weekend Treasure Hunt

This past weekend I went back to the old spot where I found my 1819 large cent from the previous Saturday. Again, small wooded area across from an old cemetery. I don't like getting to close to the cemetery because people might think you’re digging 6 feet for a body (LOL!).

The area that I have been metal detecting at has been hit pretty hard. So, I went into the thick stuff where I could barely fit the coil between fresh new pine ... Read More

I’ve been metal detecting since I was 13 years old, but running a metal detecting shop has increased my knowledge of detecting and treasure finds even more. Sharing that knowledge with others is what the hobby is all about.
